1.H1-B visas will be granted to benifiaries only for the period they assigned assignment.
If the beneficiary company demonstrates that the employee is going to work for less than 3 years , H1-B Visa will be granted to employee less than 3 years. Currenlty it is issued 3 years, after 3 years period it will be extended another 3 years with an immigration interview.
A policy memorandum issued by the US Citizenship & Immigration Services on February 22 said its officers could seek detailed documentation and more evidence from firms to establish that they have specific assignments in a specialty occupation for the H-1B beneficiary, and that they have these assignments for the entire time requested on the petition.
2.Short time H1-B will eliminate more green cards
By issuing short time h1b-visas to applicant USCIS is planning to eliminate green cards for H1B-Employees. It is very difficult to H1B-applicant to apply extension.
The amendments exempt holders of US master’s degrees or higher who are being sponsored for green cards from the annual numerical limitations on H-1B visas and subjects employers who fail to employ an H-1B worker for more than three months during the individual’s first year of work authorisation to a penalty.
